General fund ledger, tobacco received in payment of taxes, November 27, 1788-November 23, 1789.

This ledger contains accounts of the sale of public tobacco, recording the name of the purchasers and the amounts paid for various lots of tobacco sold. Inserted in the volume are records of the examination of specie and the burning of paper money in the treasurer's office on November 25, 1789. Inverted in the back of the volume are manuscript forms (most not filled in) for crop tobacco received for revenue taxes in 1786 and 1787.
